The Symposium will take place at Hotel Edelweiss in downtown Bariloche, Argentina. There are some available rooms at the Symposium hotel at a promotional rate for LAGOS participants (you should mention it when taking reservations).

Bariloche (official name: San Carlos de Bariloche) is one of the most beautiful cities in Argentine Patagonia. It is located within the Nahuel Huapi National Park, in the foothills of the Andes Range and sorrounded by lakes and mountains. Bariloche hosts the most important skiing center in South America in the Cerro Catedral, and also offers a variety of sightseeing, trekking, and climbing possibilities.

The weather can be cold even at the end of the summer, so we recommend to bring a good jacket and gloves, specially for the boat trip.

LAN Argentina will offer a special price to all LAGOS participants for the plane trip between Buenos Aires and Bariloche.
